The day went by slow in a relaxed way, at least until your last class period. Sense you had been eager to head home and meet your younger sister, the last minutes of the school day dragged on. You attentively,  tapped your finger on your chin, watching the clock's  second hand tick dully. You sigh lethargically  Come on, come on! Hurry up! You hang your head back and stare at the ceiling. Hm,maybe if I find something to occupy me, maybe time will go by faster... You reach down by the side of your desk, pulling out a notebook. Let's see... maybe I can draw something... You examine your blank paper, shuffling through the files in your head for some inspiration. You groan and let your forehead fall down onto your desk. Great, I got artists' block too...  Suddenly there was a screech, and the intercom came on.

"Attention Middle School Volunteers: The auditions for Mr.and Mrs. Clause and elves for the Middle School Christmas Party have been moved to the 21st due to a basketball game being held on the original date. Those who need make calls to make scheduled adjustments
may come down the office. Thank you!"

You smiled to yourself. You volunteered for those every year. But, not this year though. Your mother had told you that you were getting to old to be playing pretend at a middle school party. You had actually wanted to be Mrs. Clause this year, too bad... You looked back up at the clock, only two minutes have passed. You huffed in impatience.  You looked back at your blank notebook. Oh! I know! You pulled the pencil you had behind your ear out form you hear and began writing.

                                    Dear Santa,
First off, Merry Christmas! I know I've never written to you before, so sorry if this comes as a surprise. My little bud Cody & his sister asked me to write a wish list to you & send it with theirs.
So,for the very first time, here is what I ask for;
If I may, could I-

"Oh, hello _____," someone said, interrupting your writing. You look up from your paper to see it was none other than the populars that ran a dictatorship all over the social being of the high school.

"Oh, uh... hi Amber." you said plainly.

"I want you to know that I'm having my Christmas-a.k.a My birthday party the 25th,and your not invited. So don't try to show up, you'd just be the laughing stock of the night anyway." he warned, a smug smirk plastered across her face.

"OK, sure. " You said blankly, returning your attention to your letter. "Not like I care anyways, just like the last few years you 'uninvited' me."  Amber crossed her arms, pondering what else she could say to get arise out of you. You only continued you writing.

...could I,if it's not too much to ask...

Amber growled. "Hey, look at me!I'm talking to you!" she spat.

"Yeah, I know. but,I'm kinda busy," you say not looking up.Amber's face grew red.

"What the heck is so important that you ignore mua?" She asked, making a pose at saying the word, "mua". You still didn't look up. She huffed and suddenly snatched your letter right from under the pencil.

"Hey, you could have just asked too see it instead of taking it, dimwit," you scowled.

"Shut up, freak," she hissed. You winced at the name. Freak... One of the many names given to you for your odd behaviors... You looked down at your feet, feeling slightly hurt. Amber snickers, then bursts out in a hardy laugh. "Aw, writing to Santa are we?" she chimed evilly. "You honestly still believe in that fat creeper? Aw,looks like the freak is more nutty than we thought." Her friends laughed at her comment. Your face grew red.

"Well, it's not exactly-"

"Aw, the little baby freak want a dolly for Christmas? Are you going to wait all night just to see Santie Cwaz? Aw, isn't that sweet. " Your face grew warmer with anger, then faded at the idea to do a cross examination to sass her back ten times worse. That was one of the reasons Amber hated you so much. You could easily figure out anything you wanted about her with out even doing any research.

"Well, yeah. I guess I'm just a baby at heart. I'm hoping I can ask Santa if I can go back up to the north pole again. It's been one-hundred-and-fifty years sense I've been able to make toys for little kids.." you said gloomily. The your face lit up slightly. "Heh, I still remember when I used to make gifts for everyone in this town." You got up and began pacing. Amber and her friends looked at you like you were nuts; with actually you thought was half accurate to tell the truth.

"What? You're a liar, there's no such thing! Plus, you'd have pointed ears if you were an elf, and you'd be tiny," she said. You smiled, seeing your opportunity.

"Oh, and how would you know?" you said, smiling innocently, with with a creepy vibe to it. "My cousin is the same age as you, he used to believe in Santa too. And yet, he doesn't remember details like that." You chuckled. "Nor does he used the word, 'tiny'." Amber seemed to be getting intimidated by you.

"J-Just what are you getting at..?" you smirked and suddenly swung around to be face to face with her. She jumped back in surprise, letting out a squeak. "Doesn't that seem a bit weird?" You had her cornered. "Think, a 17-year-old claims she doesn't believe in Santa, never has: and yet, knows all about the little details... That rather odd, don't you think." You tapped your chin. "You know, I remember when you were little and I'd always get your wish list every year..." You giggled, pretending to remember something. Amber's face grew red.

"What's so funny?" she asked suspiciously.

"Do you remember that one year you asked for that.... um, what was it called.... Oh yeah!It was that-" Amber quickly covered your mouth.

"Don't you dare," she cursed. You only smile. Bingo. There it was.

"Come on, you have to admit that was cute. Even you could be so careless as a child, Ms.Perfect," you say egotistically.

"How the heck do you even know about that?" she demanded. You only giggled, finding it amusing that she didn't know you knew absolutely nothing.

"Come on, all kids do something like that at least once."

"Uh, Amber." One of her friends called. Amber nervously turned her head. "What is she talking about?"

"Oh... hehe, i-it's nothing..." she croaked.

"Oh? you mean you haven't told them? Well, allow me." You gently push Amber to the side, reaching in your pocket to turn on your phone.

"Well, when Amber was little, she had asked for this-"

"Don't you dare tell them!" she broke in. You only stuck your tongue out at her.

"When Amber was little, she had sent her wish list to the north again..." you began again, navigating to your camera in your phone as you
spoke.

"____, you dare say a word, I'll-I'll-!"

"You'll what?" you spat, turning record on your phone, keeping it down at your side. "you'll..." you stopped for a moment to think of
something that might have commonly happened to little kids on their first few Christmases. "You'll do to me what you did to yourself?"
Amber's face got bright red. BAM! Right on target.

"Come with me!" you shouted, grabbing you by your wrist and out into the hallway.

"Listen you freak, I don't know how you found out about that, but you better not tell a soul or I'll ruin you!" You rolled your eyes. "And I know you're an elf.Elves are small, cute, with pointy ears and a whole lot more respectful to their kids. you don't even have the little sparkles on your cheek!"  You tried not to laugh. She had no idea she actually knew that much about elves. That kind of detail you had only found in old, 'dongon and dragon' types of books. And she was just telling you everything. You snickered and decided to take a change further.

"Aw, you know I can just show that video at the party..." You bluffed. Amber's face went white, squeaking a bit. You laughed slightly. Oh wow, this was richer than you thought. There was a video too? Oh wow, were you having fun.

"Please, don't. Anything but that." she pleaded.  You held your breath, then just broke out laughing.

"Why are you laughing! It wasn't funny, and I didn't know any better!"

"Oh, sure... right.

"Look you, I was five, OK! My uncle had one too many drinks, all right? I didn't know what I was doing!"

"Oh,Amber... Oh you are so clueless!" you barely managed to say. Her face turned bright red again.

"Why is that? What have you done!" she panicked, trying to mask it with anger.

" 'I've never believed in Santa. Never have, never will.' " you mocked. Amber gave you a questionable look.  "Tell me,Amber;if you don't believe in Santa, how come you know so much about elves? Sure, most people remember the pointy ears and small size; but if you never believed, then how do you know their cheeks are supposed to sparkle?" Amber's eyes went wide. You had her cornered. " 'Holiday Folklore:Magical Beings in the Real World, written Sheldon Mule, illustrated by Caroline Parch.' One of the books you once saw me reading. You said books like that were for geeks with no life."

"So, w-what's it to you?"

"In that book, Chapter 13. it's a chapter about fairies, sprites, and elves. Now, I may be wrong, but that's the only book in the library that says anything about Santa's elves having sparkly cheeks." You shot her a glare, and them began pacing around her. "So, you don't like those books do you? You don't believe in Santa?"

"I don't!"

"Wrong!" You shouted so that it echoes through the halls. it earned a few peeks out some open doors.  "That is the only book found in the
high school library that has that specific feature listed about elves! If you didn't read it, who did you know? If you didn't care about Santa,
when why did you take that book, and go immediately to the Christmas section?" You began backing her up to a wall. "Tell me then, if you don't believe in Santa right now, then how come you still volunteer in the Middle School party every year to make up for you're being 'naughty' all year round, in hopes of still getting gifts from him." Amber's breathing had become heavy, sweat trailing down the side of her face. You turn around, looking out the hall window. Some students had begun coming out into the hallway.

"What do you know! You're just a freak! You still do too!" You smiled at the word, "too". You went on the Internet on your phone, your camera still recording everything that was going on.

"Too, eh?" you repeated softly, searching for the video Amber had mentioned.  her eyes went wide and she slapped her hands over her mouth.

"I didn't say that."  You laughed.

"Oh yes you did."

"I did not say that!"

"Oh really?Did you believe in Santa, like you did when your drunken uncle had told you how Santa really was like?"  You held up your phone, a video playing.

"OK OK, now; A-Amber and I have a very special treat to end another g-great Christmas..." sad a man, sloppily dressed as Santa.  "Drum roll p-please!" The man badly imitated a a drummer, mimicking the sounds of a drum horribly. "A Merry Christmas to you all, staring A-Amber!" The camera moved to the left,  a little girl jumping out of a doorway, dressed in super short, cut off jeans, a red bra lined with white fluff, a Santa hat, and big red cowgirl boots. The girl had sloppily smeared makeup all over her face, puckering her bright bright red lips up.

"Ho ho ho," she said, cocking her hips. Amer's face welled up with tears, kids from all throughout the hallway to watch the video.  "I'm Mrs.Santa, and I'm a naughty girl." the girl the said as she began dancing erratically. All the kids in the hall started laughing. Amber looked down at the ground. You stopped in mid video and pulled your camera back up. You pointed your phone at Amber.

"Well, what do you think?" you said blankly.

"You're a freaking freak ___!" she choked.

"I hope you know that I never knew about any of that." Amber's face drained white. "I was only bluffing, you told me, and all these other kids your secret all on your own." You glared at her, then pressed the stop button on your camera.  Your turn back to the small group of kids off to the side. You glared, the all stiffened up. "If you all say one word about this, I'll post your secrets all over the Internet for the world to see. " You turned back to Amber, who seemed like she was about to cry. She slid down the wall with her back, and pulled her knees to her chest. You sighed, walking over to her and sitting next to her. You pulled up the video on your phone & pressed play. Amber seemed to shrink into herself. You nudged her with your elbow. She reluctantly peeked at your phone. You clicked on the post button, pulling up the post options."I can put this all over the Internet right now... I could humiliate you, send this thing to the whole school." you utter unusually calmly. You instead press cancel, then the delete button. Amber raises her head on confusion. "But... I'm not like you. I wont degrade you, even if I do have a good reason instead of just spite." You confirmed the delete. You stood up, helping Amer to her feet. "You pick on me one more time, I will sink to your level and send the other one to the whole town. "Amber said nothing, you sigh. "I know you're better than what you make yourself out to be, Amber. You can be so much more than a snotty bully." You walk halfway back into the class room. "I hope you have a happy birthday, Amber."

You spent the last few minutes of class resting you head. While it was possible to cross-examine easily, it did give you headaches afterward. You were relived when the final bell rang at last. You wanted nothing more than to get home a.s.a.p. and plop down on your bed to take a nap.  As you walked home,Cody went on and on about all the fun activities and cute Nick-knacks he made during class. You gave him and Haily a big hug at the end of your walk home. You waved bye as you headed up a few houses to your own.  You shiver as you open the door and escape the cold into the warming air of your home.

"Burr..." you mumble as you shut the door.

"Welcome home my love,"You mother called from the kitchen.

"Good to be back," you called back, heading up to your room. Opening your door, you to your book bag to the side and plop face down on your bed. "Ah, comfy bed, I love you so." you say, nuzzling your face into your pillow. You sit up, taking off your jacket and plop back down on your bed again. You glance over at your clock. It was three-ten. You sigh. You still had two more hours until your step father and younger sister arrive. Great, more waiting, you thought.  You bit the inside of your cheek. Reaching in your pocket, you pull out some ear buds and stuck them in your ears. Closing your eyes, you nod off to the beat of your favorite song. And soon, you were fast asleep.
Ok, is basically the same as the old Chapter 2, just split in half.My editor said it was a bit too long.
